Cockatiels are the most popular pet birds in the world, and there's a reason for that—they're just plain fun!
Owning a cockatiel is a lot of fun, but it also takes some work. Here are some tips to make sure your cockatiel is happy and healthy:

1. Make sure your cockatiel has plenty of toys to play with. Cockatiels love to chew on things, so give them plenty of wood perches and toys that they can chew on. You can also try giving them wooden blocks or other things they can chew on.

2. Make sure your cockatiel gets enough exercise every day. Cockatiels are very active birds, so they need lots of time to fly around the house or play with their toys. If you don't have enough time to play with your bird every day, consider adopting another bird so they have someone else to play with!

3. Keep an eye on your bird's diet! Cockatiels can be picky eaters sometimes, so it's important that you offer them plenty of different foods at mealtimes so they don't get bored eating the same thing all the time!

4.They're very social, they can learn tricks like hopping and whistling, and they make excellent companions. But if you're thinking about adopting one of these guys, you should know what to expect before you bring them home. Here are some tips for owning a cockatiel:

5. Cockatiels are best kept in pairs or groups of three or more. They have complex social structures and need plenty of interaction with their own kind to be healthy and happy. If you only have one cockatiel, it may become lonely or depressed over time.

6. Cockatiels can live up to 20 years, so think long-term before adopting one into your life! They require annual veterinary visits and regular grooming—so be prepared for the costs associated with maintenance throughout the years.

7. Cockatiels aren't very good at flying (they can't even fly backward), but they are great at escaping from their cages! Make sure your home is safe from predators by keeping doors closed and putting screens on windows when possible
